Physical Description

Ms. Santos is a slight woman of average height in modern nights. She must have been considered tall a couple of hundred years ago. She is often seen in shades of purple and black; typically corseted at Kindred events. Her apparent age is in that odd point of clearly being an adult but not yet looking old. That age changes through history. But now, if you are used to hanging around with humans, you'd guess her to be about 35ish.

Biography

She does not say what name she was given when she was born. But for as long as Kindred in North America have known of her, she has called herself Isabella Kai Santos. But woe betide anyone who calls her anything other than Ms. Santos unless they have an intimate relationship. She is nothing if not propriety in all things.

She does not share much of her past. She was born in Portugual sometime in the 1600's. She has mentioned having many brothers and sisters but her father was a shipwright and she was the only one who seemed to inherent his gift for such. So rather than marry, she helped him with the work with the intention of teaching one or more of his male grandchildren after he passed on so they could take on the family business. The famed Spanish pirate, Eduardo Blomar, happened to find her in her backwater of Portugual and somehow convinced her family to let her go with him on his ship.

He was, of course, a vampire. He ghouled her and she served on his crew for many years. He finally embraced her on Midsummer's Night of 1721, claiming that it was only fitting as a Lasombra for her first night as Kindred to be the shortest of the year.

She has sailed the seas since then and traveled widely. She is constantly on the run from her Sabbat "cousins". She first made her appearance in the Los Angeles Court in the late 1800's and for 30 years or so was a frequent visitor. In 1910 she made Los Angeles her permanent home; or as permanent a home as someone can have when their home is a boat.

She is a known shipwright, carpenter, sculptor, and dog breeder. She has been staunchly loyal to the Camarilla for as long as anyone has known her and she was extremely vocal in the wake of the Third Anarch Revolt of the need for law, order, and a strong Camarilla presence in Southern California.
