Known History

Born in Austrasia of the Frankish Empire in 515 CE, Marguerite Dryden was a daughter of the Merovingian Dynasty, distinguishing herself with her intelligence, gift for public speaking and poise. She was embraced by Gaius Marcellus in 543 CE after he observed her political acumen and ability to bend others to her will. After her embrace, she installed herself as the power behind the thrown eventually replacing the sitting king of the Franks and reuniting the kingdoms her father had broken apart. Her Sire, Gaius Marcellus returned to the Frankish Empire when she successfully took the throne, and gifted her a Ghoul, Claudius Taranis. Marguerite continued to expand the Frankish empire, ruling from the shadows and installing servants and Childer on the thrones to rule in her stead.

After ruling dozens of countries, city states and kingdoms, Marguerite went into torpor between the years of 1570 CE to 1840 CE. She awoke as the world was changing. The First Industrial Revolution over, but once again, her natural command over the mortals around her allowed her to easily install herself in positions of power, but she now watches carefully. Technology that had never existed before threatened what she built, and though she does not understand everything she sees around her, she is kept safe in the modern nights by employing ancient strategies and knowledge.

Coming to LA, on the eve of the Third Anarch Revolution, she knows how to navigate the modern nights, and has a vision for the future of Southern California. Like had happened throughout her long and storied history, nothing will stand in her way.
