Tyler the Brujah either did not get the memo from the Getty, or did not care. Refusing to heed Therese’s call for a ceasefire outside of LA, Tyler had apparently discovered a location where the Inner Council of the Camarilla meets in Seattle. Tyler’s discovery became apparent because that building was found torched during the day with the Brujah clan symbol, and the name “Patricia of Bollingbroke” (which the Camarilla has said is Tyler’s birth name) carved into the ruins.
Local loremaster kindred dug into these claims, and gave their own opinions on the matter. Anarchs claim that this is an obvious false flag attempt, while the Camarilla argues that this only speaks to Tyler’s boldness.
Tyler was quickly redlisted, and captured by Alastors, assisted by SoCal kindred. Genie Higgins volunteered to help with tracking down Tyler, using her skills to follow the trail that the elder Brujah left behind as they fled Seattle. She handled objects that Tyler had discarded and used her occult tools and visions to aid in locating Tyler. Controversially, Justicar Madame Guille's Archon Hafsa reached out to the Former Black Hand member. Nathaniel Black was called in to track the Anarch Rebel. He operated along with the other Agents called in via the Inner Circle but he himself worked another path, one that would lead Tyler to find false flags of his trackers. Nathaniel was always one step ahead on tracking, and kept Tyler chasing ghosts while strike teams could move in.
As the Alastors prepared to move on Tyler's location, Genie also offered to use her gifts to psychically project into the hideout and suppress Tyler's fear and anger with dementation. The dulling of their target's emotions and alertness helped the combat members of the team get into position more easily and reduce casualties in what was still a tough fight against the powerful elder.
